This step-by-step tutorial will show you how to make File Explorer stop grouping files by date in Windows 11.

  1. Open File Explorer.

  2. Click on Sort located in the top menu of File Explorer.
  3. Go to Group by.
  4. Click on (None).

  5. Click on the three-dot icon located in the top menu of File Explorer.

  7. In the next window, you click on View.
