How to copy text from an image in Windows 10

Learn how to copy text from an image in Windows 10 without extra software. This way, you can convert images to text.

Steps

1. Open the image and make sure that the text you want to copy is visible on your screen.

2. Click on the Windows search button.

Note: If you don't see the search button, right-click on the taskbar > Search > Show search icon.

3. Click on the Search with a screenshot button in the bottom right corner of the search window.

4. Use the selection tool to draw a box around the text you want to copy.

Note: Microsoft Windows will send the screen capture to Bing for analysis (so keep this in mind if you're concerned about privacy).

Bing will give you raw text that you can copy and paste into another document.
