How to set, change, or delete a password on your PS5

These tutorials will show you step by step how to set, change, or delete a password (also known as passcode or PIN code) on your PlayStation 5.


Set login passcode on PS5

1. Open settings by selecting the settings (gear) icon in the upper right corner of your screen and pressing the (X) button on your controller.

2. Open Users and Accounts.

3. Select Login Settings.

4. Click Require a PS5 Login Passcode.

5. Enter a new passcode.

6. Enter the new passcode one more time.

The login passcode is now enabled. Your PS5 will now require a 4-digit PIN code to log in.


Change PS5 login passcode

1. Open settings by selecting the settings (gear) icon in the upper right corner of your screen and pressing the (X) button on your controller.

4. Click Change Your PS5 Login Passcode.

5. Enter your current PS5 login passcode.

Delete PS5 login passcode

1. Open settings by selecting the settings (gear) icon in the upper right corner of your screen and pressing the (X) button on your controller.

4. Click Delete Your PS5 Login Passcode.
