How to set, change, or delete a login passcode on your PS5
When you want to lock your PS5 profile, you don't use a traditional long password. Instead, Sony uses a 4-digit login passcode that you enter using your controller buttons. It’s a fast, effective way to stop others from using your account or seeing your save data.

How to set a PS5 login passcode

Open settings.

Open Users and Accounts.

Select Login Settings.

Click Require a PS5 Login Passcode.

Enter your 4-digit passcode using the buttons on your controller. You can use up, down, L1/L2, R1/R2, triangle, circle, square, or cross (X).

Enter the new passcode one more time.
The login passcode is now enabled. Your PS5 user account will now require a 4-digit PIN code to log in.
How to change your current PS5 passcode

Open settings.

Open Users and Accounts.

Select Login Settings.

Click Change Your PS5 Login Passcode.

Enter your current 4-digit passcode using the buttons on your controller. You can use up, down, L1/L2, R1/R2, triangle, circle, square, or cross (X).

Enter a new passcode.

Enter the new passcode one more time.
Your login passcode is now changed.
How to delete (remove) your PS5 passcode
Delete your passcode if you are the only one using the console and want to jump straight into your games faster.

Open settings.

Open Users and Accounts.

Select Login Settings.

Click Delete Your PS5 Login Passcode.

Enter your 4-digit passcode using the buttons on your controller. You can use up, down, L1/L2, R1/R2, triangle, circle, square, or cross (X).

Click OK.
Your login passcode is now deleted.
