Some things you only want to share with a few people or maybe not with a specific person and certainly not to strangers (non-friends), so that's why Facebook has privacy settings.

1. Open your web browser.

2. Go to Facebook.

3. Log into your account (if not already logged in).

4. Go to your profile (timeline).

5. Click on the [...] button next to the Activity Log button.

6. Click on View As.

7. When you're done viewing your profile as someone else, you go to the black bar and click on the (x) icon to close the view.

5. Tap on View As located below your username and profile picture.

6. When you're done viewing your profile as someone else, you tap on EXIT VIEW located at the top right.

How to see what your Facebook business or fan page looks like to others on a computer

1. Open your web browser.

2. Go to Facebook.

3. Log into your account (if not already logged in).

4. Go to your business or fan page.

5. Click on the [...] button next to the Share button below the cover photo.

6. Click on View as Page Visitor.

Now you will see how your page looks like to the visitors of your page.

7. When you're done viewing your page as someone else, you click on Switch back to your view located at the top.

6. Tap on View As located below your page's name.
