Tip: You can burn multiple AVI files to one DVD, but the amount of AVI videos that can be burned to a single DVD depends on the file size of your videos and the capacity of your disc.

  1. Insert a blank DVD into the DVD burner of your computer.
  2. Open ConvertXtoDVD.
  3. Click on the (+) button.
  4. Go to the location on your PC where the AVI file(s) is stored.
  5. Select the AVI file(s) and click on "Open".
  6. If you want to include subtitles, then click on the subtitle button located below the preview player.

    • If you don't see the subtitle button, then click on the video.

    • It's possbile that the subtitle file has already been added in ConvertXtoDVD. If not, then click on the load subtitle in convertxtodvd icon, select your subtitle file (.srt) and click on "Open".
  7. If you want to edit the DVD menu, then click on the "Edit Menu" button, edit your menu and click on "OK" to save the changes.
  8. If you want to change the DVD format (NTSC or PAL), then click on "Default Settings" (located in the top menu), choose "Output format", select the DVD format of your choice and then click on "OK". "NTSC" or "PAL" depends on the region where you live.
  9. Click on the "Convert" button located at the bottom.

ConvertXtoDVD will first convert your AVI file(s) and then burn your video(s) to a playable DVD.

How to Burn AVI Video Files to a Playable Video DVD using DVD Flick

DVD Flick is a free DVD authoring program that allows you to easily convert and burn all kinds of video files to a playable video DVD that will play on any DVD player.

Tip: You can burn multiple AVI files to one DVD, but the amount of AVI videos that can be burned to a single DVD depends on the file size of your videos and the capacity of your disc.

  1. Insert a blank DVD into the DVD burner of your computer.
  2. Open DVD Flick.
  3. Click on "Add title..." located in the right sidebar.
  4. Go to the location on your PC where the AVI file(s) is stored.
  5. Select the AVI file(s) and click on "Open".
  6. Click on "Project settings" located in the toolbar.
    • By default you probably won't have to change anything, but there might be a few settings you want to change, like:
      • General:
        • Title here you can enter a title for your DVD.
        • Target size here you can set the size of your target disc (DVD). If you're burning to a standard DVD-R, then keep the default 4.3 GB setting. However, you can also choose Dual Layer DVD, Mini-DVD, CD-R, or your own custom target size.
      • Video:
        • Target format here you set the format of your DVD player. If your DVD should be NTSC or PAL formatted. The US uses NTSC and most European and Asian countries use PAL.
      • Burning:
        • Select "Burn project to disc", so that DVD Flick will burn your AVI file directly to DVD after the conversion
        • Disc label here you can enter a label name for your DVD
        • Drive make sure that the DVD burner drive of your PC is selected here
        • Speed here you can choose the burning speed. The top speed depends on your DVD and DVD burner drive.
    • Click on "Accept" to save the settings.
  7. If you want to include subtitles, then click on "Edit title..." located in the right sidebar and then click on "Subtitle tracks".
    • It's possbile that the subtitle file has already been added in DVD Flick. If not, then click on "Add", select the srt subtitle file (stored on your computer), click on "Open" and then click on "Accept".
  8. If you want to add a menu to your DVD, then click on "Menu settings" located in the toolbar.
    • At "Menu settings" you will have the following options:
      • You can select a theme for your menu at the left side
      • You can enable Auto-play menu (if you want your DVD to start playing automatically)
      • Show subtitle menu first
      • Show audio menu first
    • Click on "Accept" to save the menu settings.
  9. Click on "Create DVD" located in the toolbar.

DVD Flick will first convert your AVI file(s) and then burn your video(s) to a playable DVD.
