1. Open WhatsApp.

2. Tap on the menu button.

7. Tap on the "+ contact" (add contact) icon located at the top right of the app.

8. Tap on the contact you wish to block.

How to Block an Unknown Number that's not in Your Contacts List on WhatsApp on Android

Open the chat with the unknown contact and tap on "Block".

When you receive a message from an unknown number (number that's not in your contacts list / not saved in your phone), you will also have the "Report Spam" option. This will report the user and add the user to your Blocked list.
