How to block a phone number on a Samsung phone (step by step)
This tutorial will show you step by step how to block a phone number on a Samsung phone.
On this page, you will find three methods.
The first method works for numbers that called you. The second method works for numbers that texted you. And the third method shows how to add the number manually to the block list.
How to block a phone number on a Samsung phone (that called you)
1. Open the Phone app.
2. Go to Recents (recent calls list).
You can find Recents at the bottom of your phone's screen.
3. Tap on the phone number you want to block.
4. Tap on the ⓘ (information) icon.
5. Tap on ⊘ Block located at the bottom of your phone's screen.
6. Tap on Block to confirm.
The phone number is now blocked on your Samsung smartphone. This phone number will no longer be able to call or text you.

How to block a phone number on a Samsung phone (that texted you)
1. Open the Messages app.
2. Open the text message you received from the phone number you want to block.
3. Tap on Block number located in the top right corner of your phone's screen.
Or tap on the ⋮ icon located in the top right corner of your phone's screen and then tap on Block number.
4. You can select the Delete conversation option if you want.
5. Tap on Block or OK.
The phone number is now blocked on your Samsung mobile phone. This phone number will no longer be able to call or text you.

How to block a phone number on a Samsung phone (manually)
1. Open the Phone app.
2. Tap on the ⋮ icon located next to the search icon (magnifying glass icon).
3. Tap on Settings.
4. Tap on Block numbers.
5. In the Add phone number field, you enter the phone number you want to block.
6. Tap on the + icon.
The phone number is now blocked on your Samsung smartphone. This phone number will no longer be able to call or text you.
